A male employee of the Wattala Pradeshiya Sabha Chairman’s house was stabbed to death by suspected robbers last night, the Police said.
The 78-year-old victim had been alone at the house at the time of the incident.

According to the Police, the wife and the Chairman of the Wattala PS had left the house to attend a function. Thereafter, the employee had gone to a neighbour to ask for a cup of tea and had been missing when the tea was brought to him.

The neighbor had however seen a window of the house opened and had alerted the Chairman who rushed back to the house.

The victim was found dead with stab injuries inside a bathroom. Wattala Police are conducting further investigations.

How could he have been alone at the time of the incident?

    Did he stab himself?

Although, anything is possible when at a politician's house.
