A tense situation has erupted in Weliweriya once again this evening, as a group of villagers gathered outside the factory that was caught in the water contamination controversy, expressing their objection.

According to villagers, the group that surrounded the factory is now lying in wait to attack factory workers when they walk out after finishing work. Although STF personnel are deployed outside to control the situation and facilitate the workers to exit the workplace safely, the villagers have jeered at them and obstructed the path. Workers are there to earn a living and they should not be harmed. It is the management and the political crooks who give the backing and send STF who should be caught.

Good timing. Do all you can while the madam is in town. She will keep the thugs indoors.
