Water cut in Colombo today

Water supply to several areas would be interrupted from 9.00 am today (10) to 3.00 am tomorrow (11) due to the laying of new pipe lines and maintenance work, the National Water Supply and Drainage Board announced.

The areas affected would be Grandpass, Mahawatte, Thotalanga, Aluthmawatha, Kotahena, Mattakkuliya, Layards Broadway, Madampitiya and Modera

Meanwhile, water supply will be interrupted for a period of 12 hours from 8.00 pm today (10) to 8.00 am tomorrow (11) in the following areas as well.

The areas affected would be a section of the Panchikawatte road, Sri Sumanatissa Mawatha to Elphinstone Theatre junction upto Jethawana Road Junction, Sangaraja Mawatha and all by roads, Maligawatte Road, Maligawatte housing complex, Akbar Lane. Old Moor Street, Mahavidyalaya Road and Oilman Street, all by roads of Colombo Galle Road from Glen Aber Place to Kollupitiya Junction, R.A. de Mel Mawatha from Bambalapitiya junction to Kollupitiya junction.

The Board says it regrets the inconvenience caused and advises the public to store their requirements in advance.
