A water cut will take effect in parts of Colombo from 12 noon today to 12 noon tomorrow owing to a damaged water pipe connected to the Ambatale water distribution line, the national water supply and drainage board said.

The affected areas include Grandpass, Mattakuliya and Kotahena, a spokesman at the national water supply and drainage board told Daily Mirror online.

He said that repair work on the damaged pipe is already underway.

24 Prime hours to repair a pipe line???Where on earth are we living? This isn't drought time!!!!Why cant they divert the damage line using an alternate method.Don't they have technical people. Are their brains not innovative. You people must do the repair with minimum inconveniance to the public. You are depriving a basic right of human beings.
