Water cannons and tear gas fired at protesters

The procession is currently heading towards the Hilton Colombo area but the police have cordoned off the area with barricades. The angry crowd after having being provoked are hooting and some have managed to get through the barricades while water cannons and tear gas are being fired at them. (YP)
