UPFA election rally disturbs A/L students

Examinations Commissioner W.M.J. Pushpakumara asked the people to complain to the Examinations Department, no sooner they come across election propaganda activities that disturbs A/L examinations.

Commenting on what happened in Anuradhapura yesterday where the UPFA held its inaugural rally at the Anuradhapura public grounds causing a severe disturbance to A/L students, Mr.Pushpakumara said complaints should be lodged with the Examinations Department on 1911 or with the Elections Department so that action could be taken promptly.

Meanwhile, Elections Commissioner Mahinda Deshapriya said he had received a complaint concerning the incident on Saturday and said a Deputy Elections Commissioner had been asked to investigate and submit a report on the incident.  (Lakna Paranamanna)

    A/Level exam is almost over. Incident allready happened under the patronage of Maha Raja. What is the purpose of complaining now? Any way, can Election Commissioner take any action against of big man? I doubt.

    May the affected be given a fractional Z score favour depending on the subjects,amount of time lost,sound pollution, misleading promises, propaganda edge obtained by this news item violating election laws, expenses incurred for report by DEC etc.
    reasons affect to both student and the state.

    On Saturday General English Papers I & II that were not compulsory was held. Performance in the General English papers do not affect the Z-score.
