UNP MP Akila Viraj Kariyawasam said today the UNP was willing to take to the streets to compel the government to do justice to the students affected by the Z- score muddle.

“We have tried to resolve this matter diplomatically. We have taken this issue up in parliament which is the highest place in this country to raise an issue but the government has been avoiding it. We have continuously spoken to the media and through the media we let the people of this country know what the real issue is. We have used all methods to solve this problem by using pressure but we aren’t afraid to take to the streets” he said.

Mr. Kariyawasam pointed out that the government had politicised the entire education sector which had completely broken down.

“The entire sector has been politicised; many issues including those with lecturers have surfaced because of this reason. The government has to establish an independent commission to investigate all these and give justice to all those affected” he said.
Mr. Kariyawasam said the UNP had at no time played politics with the lives of students.( By Hafeel Farisz)

All politicians (including him) are the people who destroyed the education systems, playing with poor students lives for their corrupt games, taking judicial process also at jokers place. Civil society should be now organized to stop these political crows fool play with the Sri Lankan citizen
