UNP Provincial Councillor arrested

Ten individuals including UNP Provincial Councillor Maithri Gunaratne were arrested by the Mirihana Police for allegedly attacking the Sirikotha building, sources said.

A southern Provincial Councilor is also among the arrested.

Shiral Laktilake of the UNP was also taken into police custody over the alleged attack on UNP Head Quarters. 15 suspects out of 18 have been arrested so far, the police said. (SD)
