Trinco Crime OIC arrested for bribery

The Officer in Charge of the Crimes Division of the Trincomalee Police Station was arrested by the Bribery Commission for allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs. 10,000 in order to refrain from filing action in criminal case.

The OIC was arrested by officers of the Bribery Commission a short while ago.

    Hi Bandara,,,as much as it sounds absurd, I think there is a lot of truth in what you say...We have more problems and chaos now because of he corrupt and inefficient Police...The Govt must take ownership and responsibility for the very poor lawlessness and corruption in the Police and law making system.
