Tamil National Alliance (TNA) leader R.Sampanthan and Tamil Nadu leaders are gearing up to give life to the dead Eelam dream of the LTTE terrorists, said Power and Energy Minister Patali Champika Ranawaka at a Jathika Hela Urumaya (JHU) convention in Maharagama today.

Addressing the gathering, Ranawaka said, “TNA Leader R.Sambandan is trying to start a second Eelam war, while Tamil racists are trying to revive Eelam racism through countries and towns such as New York, London, Australia, France and India.

The Secretary General of the United Nations is also helping this movement with Suresh Surendran a spokesman of Global Tamil Forum (a British based LTTE front) and Tamil Nadu politicians such as Muthuvel Karunanidhi, Jayalalithaa Jeyaram, Sumandiram who are having discussions to create the Tamil Eelam again.

Meanwhile Indian Opposition Leader Sushma Swaraj is talking about the killings of the Tamils in Sri Lanka while trying to create racism. They should talk about the killings that are taking place in their own country and do some justice to those murders and put an end to racism in their own country, before trying to give advice to Sri Lanka.” (Jayashika Padmasiri)

He told he will not allow to power cut but last there are power cuts.

Champika, do not forget that your Alliance consists Karuna, Pillayan & several LTTErs.This Karuna is the person who destroyed Dalada Maligawa, planting bombs.When some tamil talked good of your alliance he is a good man & when talked against, you called them LTTE.

The country (CEB) is facing a power crisis and he is talking about TNA and Tamil Nadu. He is not doing what he is entrusted to do but goes on making statements which he is not responsible for. only creating a smoke screen.

You are getting scared because you don't impliment LLRC recommendations, you do not release the innocent people from the IDP camps. You still lock up Tamil youths without charging them. And you keep your army all over in North and East.
