Thunder showers tonight

Thunder showers will be experienced in many parts of the country tonight, while localized strong winds may affect some areas, The Meteorological Department told Daily Mirror online

MD Deputy Director S. R. Jayasekara speaking to Daily Mirror Online a short while ago said that occasional showers can be expected in the Eastern, North central and Uva provinces while afternoon thunder showers can be expected in the Western coastal areas tomorrow.

The heavy rain experienced during the past few days is expected to decrease after tomorrow, the Met. Department added.

Kirulapone (High Level road), Robert Gunewardane Mw, parts of Borella and Thummulla Junction are currently flooded due the prevailing rain.  (LP)
