Three OICs and an Inspector were transferred with immediate effect on instructions from the IGP, police said.
Police said the Thambuttegama Police OIC was transferred to Police Field Headquarters, Sewanagala Police OIC to Thambuttegama and the Diyatalawa OIC to Kosgama while an Inspector attached to the Wellawatte police station was promoted to the rank OIC and transferred to the Diyatalawa Police Station.

Transfer will not do. if a Police officer is not good enough in one station will not be good enough for another station.

why department of police is not transparent ???.must reveal the wrong doing they did for the country and give them them the highest punishment.police men are behind most of crimes in lanka.

If any police officer or any body is carrying out his duties properly or is not suited to be a high rank officer etc., he should be taken from his post without any more reasons after giving due warnings. The reason for the down fall of our law enforcement status is due to these reasons. This is like politics. The IGP should be strict on all affairs. He may afraid for his own life.
