The Principal of the Anuradhapura Niwanthaka Chetiya College had been allegedly assaulted by the son of the SLFP Pradeshiya Sabha member Anil Pushpananda today.

The assailant, an Advanced Level student in the college had allegedly assaulted the Principal when he asked the students to attend additional classes during the holidays. (Pix by Athula Bandara)

I think the son has done the practical part of the now-a-day political science. Hitting a teacher during the school day is a big qualification to enter politics. He will include this in his CV. To them studies are not important.
