Video: Tense situation in Maligawatta

A tense situation is reported in Maligawatta, opposite the Fisheries and Aquatic Resources Ministry during to a protest staged by a group of some 500 fishermen over several issues.


Accordingly, during the protest, stones and some other objects were thrown at the protestors, who were protesting over distributing of fisheries equipment, ministry’s failure to stop fishing in Sri Lankan waters by Chinese trawlers etc.
