"Politics is the last refuge of scoundrels". Rauf Hakim himself borrowed and quoted this once .

You can do all you can to point the finger at others to divert attention. Further, your clarification sounds like - when you want to eat it, a kabara goya is a thalagoya.

    Sumal Friday, 12 November 2010 02:27 PM

Where you were when Moda fellows had their turns? Just see how many of them switched side in last and present parliament. Do not utter your racial tone in public forum.

    apsara Friday, 12 November 2010 05:53 PM

Any minority party should alliance with the ruling party, if they are to serve their community.

    malkanthi Saturday, 13 November 2010 04:05 AM

The tamil parties too fall in the same line though not wearing a cap!

    Anver Saturday, 13 November 2010 04:29 AM

No harm supporting any good moves by the govt. Joining it is obviously for personal gains and not through any love towards the Muslim community.

    Najeem Saturday, 13 November 2010 05:35 AM

Could any one point out who has joined the ruling party for the future of the country.

    hussain. Saturday, 13 November 2010 08:55 AM

If you are honest about sri lankas future you can support good moves of the government without switching side, this only for their personal gain , not for the community, Now what is your stand about imprisoning of General whom you ask to vote for from your community, will leave him in jail forever .Shame on you.

    binladen Saturday, 13 November 2010 10:25 AM

The General said minorities have no place in the country. So I think you are the only Muslim who speaks in his favour. If you are so worried about him you should speak only for yourself and not on behalf of the entire community.

    hussain. Saturday, 13 November 2010 10:47 AM

YES ,i agreed with I.Hussain's comment.

    Musthafa Friday, 12 November 2010 01:24 PM

    Neutral Friday, 12 November 2010 01:32 PM

Calistus & Spark , Dont put a Racial tag on this issue, as there are other jokers too done the same thing {from other communities]. All we know that SLMC has extended to support MR on 18 amendment, months back, by that time they have shown their stand.

Ruwan Ferdinandez Friday, 12 November 2010 01:44 PM

The new cabinet will be sworn in soon and if they don't accept portfolios now, they ill ahve to sit n the opposition just protesting for another 6 years the least. This is the way to develop the country and to make their presence felt! Not everybody wants to end up like Ranil!

    Minister Friday, 12 November 2010 02:00 PM

Soon they will be kicked out, and then they will knock on the Sirikotha door. Thats what happened always.

    I Hussein Friday, 12 November 2010 02:19 PM

Muslims should stop voting to SLMC as the war is over and its presence is not required ant more.
In fact people in general must stop voting to all religious based parties. They are an obstacle for country's development under any government.
