Showers, thundershowers and strong winds to prevail
Occasional showers or thundershowers will prevail in the Northern, Eastern, North-Central, Uva and Southern provinces. Heavy showers are also expected in some places. Strong winds are also expected during the thundershowers.
The general public is requested to take necessary precautions to minimise the damage caused by lightning. (Source: Department of Meteorology)
