I think the time has come to educate women and the immediate close relatives, who may be ashamed for mistakes made, to make every effort to contact a humanitarian organization or orphanage for counsel and help. Create awareness that the innocent infant does not need to suffer or be annihilated for no faults of it´s own. It is time for religious / social organizations/ child wellfare centres to step in and be available to help those in need to stop this menace.

This has become a common phenomenon here and this inhuman act continues as infants are considered to be insignificant in the eyes of our society.
