After last floods they started to clear canals etc. ..and some ministers stated that flood problem is solved. Urban Hydrology is a separate subject and this problem of disposal of rainfall runoff has to be tackled scientifically. The capacity of storm water disposal system is not sufficient to current urban developments. More Buildings, concrete, roads mean more runoff. No exposed soil to absorb rain water. Unfortunately no one cares/understands.
