The Sabaragamuwa University would be closed until further notice, the University announced this evening.

The authorities had decided to close the University after several female students had forced into the men’s hostel  following a altercation over a hostel issue  this evening, sources said.

Accordingly, the authorities advised the undergraduates to leave the campus by 6 p.m. today.
