The UNP today urged the government to place before Parliament the details about payments yet to be made for the procurements of military supplies during the time of war.

“We hope the government will reveal to this house the details about to procurements of military supplies on late payment conditions. It has to be done without trying to fool the people anymore”, UNP Deputy Leader Karu Jayasuriya said.

He added that former Army Commander Sarath Fonseka who led the military to the war victory had now been victimized on procedural problems on certain procurement deals. (KB/YP)
