Opposition Leader Ranil Wickremesinghe has pledged to set up an effective resettlement program in the North by removing all unnecessary high security zones while keeping only the essential ones in strategic areas. He said his party has also finalized a plan to develop the Palali Airport into an international airport.
Mr. Wickremesinghe made this pledge kicking off the UNP’s election campaign in Jaffna today. (YP)
