More than 3000 Samurdhi officers forced themselves into the Kelaniya Divisional Secretariat a short while ago in order to stage a protest against Mervyn Silva.
The Divisional Secretariat was the same place in which Silva had tied a Samurdhi officer to a tree on Tuesday.
The protesting officers had met the officials working at the Divisional Secretariat and now remain in the area voicing their strong protest, calling for legal action to be taken against Silva. (Daily Mirror online)
