Without UNP there is a future and SUBA ANAGATHE TO some, but to the general public, the path to ANAGATHE already pretty evident
Minister Sunday, 02 January 2011 04:15 PM
Follow the example of the Brazilian leader, Lula da Silva.
JUNIOR CITIZEN Sunday, 02 January 2011 07:04 PM
Ranil may be unpopular, but he is the only brain in the UNP today
KD Sunday, 02 January 2011 08:21 PM
Not the country, UNP has no future. Please don't get confused. UNP is just a political party, not a country.
Mervyn matta Sunday, 02 January 2011 08:26 PM
What is there to discuss ? Kick away that man who had destroyed the party and allow a person with human touch to lead them to victory .
Dilum-Canada Sunday, 02 January 2011 08:43 PM
If RW is not willing to step down.Sajith and his group should leave and form another party so that they could get more votes than the so called UNP.
dhana Monday, 03 January 2011 12:34 AM
Ground realities are: masses are with Ranil and politicians are with Sajith, who does not have a true support of the masses of the party.
Sunil Lanka Monday, 03 January 2011 03:05 AM
Where were these masses during number of elections held in the past
Khan Sunday, 02 January 2011 02:19 PM
Sajit is the best person for the leader for UNP ,if Ranil did not give him the chanse to him this time UNP will naver come to power,Mahinda and family will go up the world end.
Ryan Monday, 03 January 2011 03:44 AM
Sajith is an ant in front of MR and doesnt have any of the qualifications to become UNP leader
Your Sweetheart Monday, 03 January 2011 04:20 AM
Ranil has now formed a link with MR to stay in power. He has now betrayed the party. I no longer support this man.
jr Monday, 03 January 2011 04:34 AM
The country has no future without the UNP. The UNP has no future without Sajith.
simple mind Monday, 03 January 2011 04:45 AM
So what you mean is that rest of the UNP is brainless.Shows your intelligence.
sue Monday, 03 January 2011 05:42 AM
If RW steps down now, he will at least be able to leave with his dignity in tact (I hope) If not....
unpman Monday, 03 January 2011 07:51 AM
Mr. RW is a better leader for the Europe. But in south asia, particular in Sri lanka, he is not. He has no marketing skills. No one thinks he can win.
I Hussein Sunday, 02 January 2011 10:32 AM
Ranil is probably doing a favour to MR on request.
The last thing MR wants now is Sajith as UNP leader for well known reasons.
Lankadot Sunday, 02 January 2011 07:59 AM
If sajith continues to critisize the party leaders ; he will reach the status of Anura Bandarnayake.
Cheena Pattas Sunday, 02 January 2011 08:36 AM
It seems that RW is trying his best to hang one as the leader although he has no support at the grass root level. He has been loosing election and it is forgone fact he will lose any election that he leads. Time for this person to say bye bye. Make the UNP a strong party for the sake of the ordinary citizens of Sri Lanka.
Chandana Sunday, 02 January 2011 08:30 AM
Its Sajith or NO future!!
Ashoka Sunday, 02 January 2011 09:36 AM
Ranil must step down, otherwise our country has no future.
Conga.. Sunday, 02 January 2011 09:56 AM
Ranil never realizes the context and the realities. He need to accept the post of Senior leader and let Sajit be the Leader on a immediate basis. Even the Colombo crowd and the affluent UNPers are of this view. Only the few in Ranil's inner circle does not realize this.
David Sunday, 02 January 2011 10:21 AM
Mr. Sajith will become Sri Lankan Obama, give million dollar talks before coming to power, do nothing thereafter....!!!! anyway as usual intelligent Sri Lankans will realise the truth after everything have happened .
Ossan Salam - Doha Sunday, 02 January 2011 10:20 AM
The best solutionn is to go for secret ballot and choose a leader.....this was agreed by the both factions in the last reformation meeting.....so what?
Konde bendapu china Sunday, 02 January 2011 10:29 AM
As long as these people cut each others neck UNP will go down further even Local govt election also loose badly.
Matara Kolla Sunday, 02 January 2011 07:57 AM
Ground realities are pretty obvious for the UNP. Unelectable, unpopupar and underground for at least another decade.
Ashoka Sunday, 02 January 2011 11:12 AM
Even if party leaders let Ranil to stay general public don't like him, He must realize the facts.
Sandaruwan Sunday, 02 January 2011 11:58 AM
Ranil Go - na -Go
Fairose Sunday, 02 January 2011 01:46 PM
Ranil should be the one to voluntarily relinquish the leadership for the unity of the party because he knows well that he is a used force.
