Power cut from tomorrow

Power cut will be imposed in certain areas in the country from tomorrow for around two hours due to break down at the Lakvijaya and Kerawalapitiya power plants, the CEB announced.

Due to the breakdown there will be a shortfall of 400 MW in the West coast of the country.

    When the power-hungry politicians have all the powers to do whatever within their powers and beyond, we poor consumers are powerless to do anything except to get shocks when the bill for power arrives.

    Not necessarily... The tanks are not filled up and we cannot meet the demand. The minister has to cook up some story to coverup his former statement of not having power cuts. this is only a coverup story for sure. In short, our planing sucks !

    what two hours.. Power cut was only for 2 hours a day but in Boralesgamuwa the power cut yesterday was for 3hours and 15 minutes form 3:30PM till 6:45PM agin in the night from 9:15PM till 9;45 for the day 3:45 hours .. never do the things they say.. end of the day public suffer from more than 2 hours power cut.
