UPFA Provincial Council Member Sarath Illangansinha’s residence in Thirappane, Anuradhapura was attacked after a hand grenade was thrown today, the police told Daily Mirror online.
Police spokesman SP Prishanth Jayakody said the incident occurred in the early hours of today morning and a vehicle had been damaged in the attack.
However, no one was injured in the explosion and it is reported that the Provincial Councillor is currently overseas.(Daily Mirror online)
