Speaker Chamal Rajapaksa has adjourned Parliament till June 9 following a request by Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe asking time to arrive at a written agreement among party leaders over the appointments of Constitutional Council members.

    This has been the case even in the time of chandrika and ranil - CC was never activated simply because they could not agree on people. From 2001- 2010 these were inactive. Reason is the method of selection. It should be a vote based elimination method. Foolish of jayampahi to have over looked
