One dead, 15 injured in bus accident

One person was killed and 15 were injured when a lorry crashed onto a stationary bus at the Govipala Junction on the Puttalam Anuradhapura road early this morning, police said.

A group of people from Bandaragama, who had gone on a trip to Jaffna, had met with the accident when a lorry crashed onto the back of their bus which was parked at the Govipala Junction.

The injured were admitted to the Anuradhapura Hospital.(Text & Pix by Jayaratne Wickramaarachchi)

    Just look at that. Did some say the maximum speed limits has to be raised in keeping with the "inflation" and "cost of living".
