No thoughts of becoming PM: Basil

Economic Development Minister Basil Rajapaksa yesterday said he had not ‘even thought about being appointed as the next Prime Minister,’ of the country.

Speaking to the Daily Mirror, Mr. Rajapaksa denied any serration to the effect that he was next in line to be made Premier.

“Why should we be discussing this? We already have a Prime Minister. I have not even thought about becoming the Prime Minister. I don’t have anything more to say about that” he said. (By Dianne Silva)
