All liquor shops will be closed tomorrow in view of the Deepavali Festival, the Excise Department said today.

Department Spokesman Prabath Jayawickreme said the Excise Commissioner General had ordered the closure of all the liquor shops on a request made by the Government.

He said in previous years only liquor shops in selected areas were closed for Deepavali.
