No fuel price hike

Petroleum Industries Minister Susil Premajayatha says there are no immediate plans to raise the price of fuel. He said this while visiting the Muthurajawala Petroleum storage facility today.

Meanwhile the world oil price topped 73 US dollars this week from its previous price of 69 US dollars a barrel two weeks ago.

    I think it is another way to say it will increase, but not today :P. I can remember once one minister said such thing, but within few days he increased prices.

    This is what Minister Fousie said then - a few days later the prices did go-up! Watch out for any matches etc., which are condusive to such an increase.
