N.Korea helped LTTE?

International Counter Terrorism expert Professor Rohan Gunaratna speaking before the Lessons Learnt and Reconciliation Commission today stated that the North Korean Government had sold weapons to the LTTE since 1997.

Prof. Gunaratna who spoke before the LLRC a short while ago said that it was the Auditor/Accountant of the LTTE, Ponnaiah Anandarajah who was operating out of Thailand that conducted the procurement of weapons between the LTTE and North Korea.

Speaking further Prof. Gunaratne stated that although the LTTE has been militarily dismantled within Sri Lanka, its global network still remains untouched.

Prof Gunaratne, you have forgotten one fact.. One of our leading politicians gave Rs 15 billion to to LTTE, just before 2005 presidential election.

Maybe some people have forgotten that Sri Lanka in the early seventies under Mrs. B's government had to close North Korean embassy for arming the JVP insurrectionists. Cant understand this much close affinity of the government with North Korea and its masters, China.
