New UNP MP sworn-in
Western Provincial Councilor Ajith Mannapperuma was sworn in as a UNP parliamentarian before the Speaker. He will fill the vacancy created by the death of Dr. Jayalath Jayawardane.
Mr. Manaperuma who is a member of the Western Provincial Council obtained 44, 612 votes at the 2010 general election. He is an engineer by profession and a graduate of the University of Moratuwa.
