Wonder what MR would do. Not capable enought to handle the UN. Lets hope he does not make a fool of himself like the way he does in Sri Lanka.

    Babanis Monday, 02 August 2010 07:33 AM

It is not that you have to talk in English. What is important is what you talk about and how it is presented.

    Saheed Monday, 02 August 2010 08:30 AM

Indika. Yes. All speeches are translated into Russian, Spanish, Arabic, Chinese and French. In addition to English these are the five languages in the UN.You have to submit 40 copies of your speech to the UN well in advance for translation. When the speech is going on from the earphones on the your seat you can select the language.

Since that everyone including MR has confirmed that there was no violation and resettlment is in progress as planned by the GOSL. This will be right place for him to go and publically put forward to the world. Clear this whole mess which is only distroying our Nations image. But if MR fails to attend this great moment then the International Countries & the Sri Lankans should understand that MR was just playing for the Gallery.

The UN is merely a chatter box. I am sure there is always room for MR.

    Shovini Monday, 02 August 2010 12:53 PM

Gotabaya should also accompany MR. Then we know he is one one way ticket. Lets hope it works for the sake of Sri Lanka.

Lanke Banda Monday, 02 August 2010 12:56 PM

MR should tell the UN Off and not accept the invitation to show the S.Lankan displeasure over U.N.Attitude towards S.L.

Calistus Jayatilleke Monday, 02 August 2010 01:33 PM

    Surasena Monday, 02 August 2010 03:39 AM

MR, take WW with you to NY and have 'a fast unto death' in front of the UN building demanding the removal of the 'expert panel'.

    Indika Monday, 02 August 2010 05:54 AM

These people think only Ranil can talk in English. Rubbish !!! Even if he didn't talk in English what's wrong ? There are translator machines there and even a lot of other Presidents like Japan, China won't talk in English.

    malkanthi Monday, 02 August 2010 06:24 AM
