Mohamed Maharoof passes away

Opposition leader of the Colombo Municipal Council and former UNP Minister Mohamed Maharoof passed away at a private hospital in Colombo this morning.

Sources said that the minister had suffered a heart attack early this morning and was admitted to the Suleimans nursing home by his daughter after which he had passed away.
