Mr. Kapila is a very good administrator and if he is given the freedom, without political interferences, I am sure he will run the place with high standards
lankaman Friday, 06 May 2011 05:57 AM

Remember this is the only country which uses a President's name to boost his public image for an airline paid by the public.

How will they run the business will be interesting to know. Will SriLankan be a susidiary of Mihin or will Mihin be susidiary of SriLankan. Or will SriLankan be low cost :D. Anyway what I see is two airlines without a vision, mission or any strategic plan just waisting public money. Poor SriLanka, had a good reputation as one of the best airlines in the world.

It is a budget airline but unlike the budget flights in the west, to travel together as a family unit you need to pay extra, and extra for food, extra for luggage - who fancies this.
Of course this is good for short haul trips.

What sort of standard are we going to have...???

Yes, give the new CEO Kapila a chance and he will show results. Let's not be negative, let us all support him our National Airline and our Country.

Mr Kapila Chandrasena will rectify all the short comings of the badly run SriLankan Airlines and will turn it around. Give him some time to turn things round and you will see a very different SriLankan Airlines in a short time. Support our National carrier and the new CEO Kapila and see the airline grow from strength to strength!

SriLankan is not up to its old standard and many more other regional carries like singapore airlines and malaysian airlines providing far more better services.
Alex Thursday, 05 May 2011 07:56 AM
what a waste.. hope he wont run our national carrier down like Mihin.. as it is Srilankan standards and quality of service has dropped so much.
