The adjudicatory chamber of the FIFA Ethics Committee has decided to ban FIFA Executive Committee member Manilal Fernando from taking part in any kind of football-related activity at national and international level for a period of eight years after he was found guilty of several breaches of the FIFA Code of Ethics.
The decision was reached following two days of hearings held on 29 and 30 April at FIFA’s headquarters in Zurich, the FIFA said in a statement.
The ban is effective from 11 March 2013, the date on which he was provisionally suspended by the chairman of the adjudicatory chamber. (Source: fifa.com)
Same should happen to the Olympic committee too. They get allocations of tickets every 4 years which they sell to scalpers, and they get to go for free!!!
And, like in this instance, they sell their votes !!! hah ha. Whats new about they one aney?

How can they ban such a hardworking man?. Sri Lanka football will disappear from the world stage without him. A man with such an athletic figure would have been a real asset.

Manilal Fernando has done nothing for football. I have been a keen follower of football from 1960 and ever since Manilal took over football it has been tootal disaster. Look at Manilal's physique and size. Can a man of his size think of being a football administrator. Does he even know how to kick a ball. I have not heard of him playing any ball leaving alone football

Finally the Big man has been found out. Football received millions but where is the game today in Sri Lanka? Another tragic story of corruption in our country.
