You see what you want to see, simple as that. What is important here is for those in charge to measure the reactiveness of fail over system. Even the greatest stock exchange of the world also breaks at times, no matter how much you safe guard the system. For some people these are far beyond the capacity of their brains.

Noone here is asking for miracles, we are just encouraging steady development. If it is magic you seek, maybe a fantasy country is best for you?
shovini Monday, 29 November 2010 10:01 AM
You need a Lee Kwan Yu caliber person to make Sri Lanka like Singapore. Dont you under stand that???
Mr. Prune Monday, 29 November 2010 07:02 AM
There will be no miracles as expected by so called patriots

Which power failure are we talking of if it's political, what is so strang about it or if it's electrical "these things happen" remember the three hour power cuts.
Rajitha Sunday, 28 November 2010 03:51 PM
yeah this government is so bad that they can't even stop lightening.
Fantastic Sunday, 28 November 2010 03:31 PM
Mr Prune, instead of sitting and doing nothing at least this Govt. is trying to bring us to that position. There is corruption in every single Govt. in the world, at least our current Govt. is developing our country well at the same time. It is negative minded people who are always criticising and finding holes that are holding our country back. There are probems everywhere in the world, by focussing on our problems we are only hampering ourselves. Brilliant public transport isn't going to magically appear out of nowhere, in the last few years roads have improved drastically and with the completion of highways such as the Southern highway, things will improve shortly. I am not someone who dwells over politics, but what I see right now with my own eyes is development for the first time in our beautiful island, and I am not going to let problems which are always present take away that needed development from us. The govt may have several flaws but it is currently doing a good job.

It appears that even a natural occurrence like lightening is a cause appropriate appropriate enough for some people to vent their feelings against the government. When are these guys going to regain their lost rationality?
I Hussein Sunday, 28 November 2010 01:44 PM
I dont know how many people remember that CEB had a major problem during Chandrika regime and it was rectified by UNP govt. Karu J was the minister then.
This is the same regime under a different person.

For all those people who are sooo negative....SL is still not the wonder of asia. It is planning to become that in the future. With "Chou Chou" people like you it is going to be a very difficult task. But i think we can become another singapore. This kind of power failures happen even in US and Europe. It seems you all are ignorant of such happenings.
Mr. Prune Sunday, 28 November 2010 11:39 AM
For a countries to grow we need to have stable power and efficient public transport. We do not have this.
sen Sunday, 28 November 2010 11:14 AM

Abdul Razeen Sunday, 28 November 2010 11:13 AM
Yeah, and power cuts never happened during the past governments did they? At least be grateful that we don't have blackout hours everyday due to electricity shortage like back then. Which government is it that has brought us out of that situation?
Nishantha Rajapakse Sunday, 28 November 2010 10:57 AM
Suba Ana-gathayak...
Khan Sunday, 28 November 2010 10:41 AM
