A Chinese missile destroyer Lanzhou arrived at Sri Lanka's Colombo port on Tuesday for a five-day visit in the South Asian island country.

The destroyer Lanzhou, just ending a five-month escort task in the Gulf of Aden and Somali waters, would attend the celebrations for the Sri Lankan navy's 60th anniversary, which falls on Thursday.

Warships from India, Pakistan and Russia also arrived at the Colombo port Tuesday to attend the anniversary celebrations.

In the following days, various activities will be held to mark the anniversary.(Xinhua News)

It is sad no mention is made of the largest ship in the Sri lanka Navy which was a gift from USA. It was one of their Coast Guard cutters that was given to the S/L Navy during the war with the tigers.

Yes Genius , don't believe in foreign aids weather it is given to build a port or fight a war . We were amply supplied with arms by China . Meanwhile, it is not a secret now , LTTE also had bought arms from them , but, true, indirectly. Never think China is too innocent to not known it.
