Eighty five Sri Lankans who attempted to migrate to Australia illegally through the maritime border were arrested by the Australian navy. These arrests were made when the migrants were sited in a small boat close to Christmas Island.
The migrants were mostly Tamil nationals. The boatman was also arrested by the Australian navy.

Aussies loved the LTTE. So, why not accept a few more Tamil Brothers and sisters. There may be a few from other nationalities too.

They can spend Christmas, Easter and Avuruddu anywhere else .. because they are not welcome in my country.

Why is this publicity only when tamil nationals are cought trying to migrate other countries? Let's be fair enough
