Rameswaram (TN), Jan 23 (PTI) A Sri Lankan fibreglass boat was found abandoned off Dhanushkodi coast today, raising suspicion that it was probably used by some militants to reach the coast, police said today.
The boat was found without an engine and did not seem to have been washed ashore, police said.
They pointed out that it was the practice of militants to remove onboard motors and bury them at a safe locality before entering the country.
However, further enquiries would have to be conducted to find out details about the incident.
