Former Sirasa News Director Kindelpitiya was arrested by the police yesterday morning over a complaint lodged by a woman alleging abuse, harassment and threats.
Initial investigations by the police found that Kindelpitiya had abused several other women. At the time of arrest, a navy deserter and a fire arm were found in the jeep belonging to Kindelpitiya along with the driver, all of whom were taken into custody. (KA)
