Indian foreign secretary arrives in SL

Indian Foreign Secretary Subrahmanyam Jaishankar arrived in Sri Lanka this morning at the Bandaranaike International Airport, Katunayake.

He is expected to meet several dignitaries including Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe and Foreign Minister Mangala Samaraweera.

The main purpose of the visit of the foreign secretary is to pave the way for the India-Sri Lanka Joint Commission (ISLJC) meeting which would be held in Colombo next month.  Indian External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj is expected to attend the Commission meeting. (T.K.G. Kapila)
