Minister Mervyn Silva said that if his children wanted Lamborghinis, he would buy them some.
“Some are holding on to Lamborghinis and voicing their protest. If my children take up motor racing I would also buy them Lamborghinis and I, too, would use one,” he said, commenting on the reduction of the duty on racing cars in the Budget.
Speaking at a tree planting ceremony in Kiribathgoda yesterday, the minister compared President Mahinda Rajapaksa to Abraham Lincoln, Lenin, Karl Marx, Gandhi, and Mao Zedong. He said he was a leader who had sparked a renaissance, and whom the country needed as its leader. (Lal S. Kumara, Kelaniya)
