Hambantota Mayor granted bail

Hambantota Mayor Eraj Ravindra Fernando was today released on bail with two sureties of Rs.1 million each when he was produced before Hambantota Chief Magistrate Isuru Neththikumara.

Mr. Fernando was charged with threatening the Ambalantota Police Station OIC and forcibly removing a suspect who was in custody. The case was fixed for June 24.
