Saman Saturday, 17 November 2012 03:41 PM
We already have Ministers for Health and Public Relations. Govt would be happy to add another Minister, and it would be more appropriate to call him the Minister of PUBIC Relations.

Literacy and education are not the same. Being literate is not the same as being educated. Literacy is basically the ability to read and write. To be considered educated, the person concerned should have a deep understanding of themselves and how they fit into the world, and have learned soft skills, complex problem-solving, creativity, entrepreneurship, the ability to manage themselves, and the ability to be lifelong learners.
Sri Lanka may be 90% literate but vast majority uneducated.

Why?? It is the women who let any Tom, Dick and a Mason check their beavers must be punished. There are plenty of technologically advanced but cheap methods to test pregnancy and to avoid pregnancy today.

Before showing your private areas to anybody in a hurry, make sure to check for ID card at least.
Revolted Saturday, 17 November 2012 10:01 AM
Don't these women understand that they need to go to a hospital or a doctor's surgery, at the minimum, to find out if they are pregnant? The country brags it is 90% literate but I must say at least 40% are ignorant, and another 40% consult astrologers and voodoo practitioners.
R. Wijewira Saturday, 17 November 2012 10:17 AM
