MP’s backup vehicle crash

Four persons including the driver of the backup vehicle of Public Relations Minister Mervyn Silva were hospitalized at the Chillaw hospital a short while ago after the vehicle they were traveling crashed into a tree.

Public Relations Minister Mervyn Silva’s backup vehicle which was heading from Anuradhapura to Chillaw met with the accident in Halabawatana. The driver of the backup vehicle, a member of the Ministerial security division and two others were injured in the accident. The driver of the vehicle is in critical condition, hospital sources said.

Reportedly the driver of vehicle had lost control of the vehicle and had gone off road and crashed into a tree. The police are conducting further investigations. (Jude Samantha) (Daily Mirror online)
