capital punishment is not the way. we need restructure our prison systems to be more productive. each prisoner is effectively free labor upto 16 hours a day, 365 days a year. say an hourly productivity target of 700Rs and putting 200,000 Rs per prisoner into maintenance and operations cost of the prison, thats 4.08 million Rs a year per prisoner.
If these 5 lived for another 30 years, thats ~ loss of 600 million Rs + expenses paid by the state in court hearing, trail, investigation and execution.
I hope the new law will repatriate all these under performing state institutions.
