Expressway earns Rs. 2.3 million

The Road Development Authority said that the country's second expressway-Colombo Katunayake Expressway-collected a revenue of Rs 2.3 million rupees during the first six hours of its operations.

The collection was from 6 pm yesterday, the time the road was opened for public, to 12 midnight yesterday.

During the first six hours of operations nearly about 8500 vehicles travelled up and down on the expressway. (Sanath Desmond)

Its a fantastic and much needed road to and from the airport and will pay for itself over time. HE the President should be congratulated on completing something that was started in the 1960's!

6 hrs rs.2.3 M , it means rs.383,333 per hr , it means rs.6388.88 per mnt , then 8500 vehicles for 6 hrs , it means 1416.67 vehicles per hr , it means 23.16 vehicles per mnt , how many mnts required to stay at the transaction booth , very interesting , who is fooling whom, this is how since 2005 all the poplution of 20M is been fooled till today by one family
