An accused, who is alleged to have rushed out of a prison cell in the Chilaw High Court and thrown a parcel of human excreta at the Judge, was arrested by the police officers on duty.
The accused had been indicted on charges of sexually abusing a boy six years ago in Dankotuwa and the case was to be taken up this morning.
He had rushed out when the cell door was opened and had thrown the parcel at High Court Judge Malani Gunaratne who was on the Bench. But he missed his intended target and hit the wall. When the Police examined the parcel they found it to contain human excreta. (Augustine Fernando)

This is the tip of the iceberg. i do pray and wish this does not gain alarming proportions in the blessed land of ours. Rule of Law si supreme and upheld by all irrespective of their stature and standing and on an equal footing. When that day dawns we will have sanity. May the triple gem bless us and our country.
