Ex-mayor vacates residence

Former Mayor of Colombo Uvais Mohamed Imthiaz finally left the official residence at Sir Marcus Fernando Mawatha yesterday evening.
A spokesman from the Colombo Municipal Council (CMC) said that he had left the official residence at around 2.30 p.m. yesterday.

Mayor Imthiaz started his former trade of driving a three wheel taxi, while occupying the official residence after the council was dissolved. (YP)

Don't blame Imtiyas, he took his only chance to get out of his lifetime predicament. Blame Ranil and Mahinda who played him for a pawn, then chewed him up and spat him out on the street. This will make a great story for a movie.
